About Us
For the past twenty years, J. Seitz & Co. has been a favorite destination of decorators, collectors, celebrity clients, world travelers and those who crave a truly unique shopping experience. Upholstered and slipcovered furniture; reproduction furniture; antiques; folk art; home accents; clothing for men and women; as well as giftsare all hand selected and beautifully displayed on two floors.
The eclectic mix of merchandise and "lifestyle" design approach has attracted the attention of many national newspapers and magazines including The New York Times; The Los Angeles Times; House Beautiful; Country Living; Home; Town & Country and many others. The store and the Seitz's home have also been the subject of a feature story on Home and Garden TV.
J. Seitz & Co. was selected by the National Retail Federation to be featured in a book about excellence in store design titled "Visual Selling and Design." J. Seitz shares these pages with Bergdorf Goodman, Christian Lacroix, Paul Smith, Yves St. Laurent and Henri Bendel, to name a few.
Run by Bill and Joanna Seitz, J. Seitz has evolved over the years, reflecting their changing interests. Years ago, they fell in love with New Mexico. While they continue to "import" artisan treasures from that area, the southwestern flavor has given way to a more sophisticated, refined vision of country elegance.
Joanna's finely tuned eye for interesting fashion and offbeat merchandise was honed during stints in advertising and as a magazine editor.
